Byron AulickByron B. Aulick

Mr. Byron B. Aulick, co-founder and President of DataVault, Inc., has been involved with document imaging and management technologies for over 20 years and is a Certified Document Imaging Architech™ (CDIA+) himself.
Mr. Aulick has authored all the training materials and personally teaches many instructor-led sessions. Mr. Aulick is recognized as an exceptional instructor and is passionate about document imaging. This is very apparent in his teaching. His instruction is methodical, thorough, and true to the concept of being ‘vendor neutral’. His training is focused on providing quality content that equips students to not only pass the exam but also develop skills that can be put to immediate use. Mr. Aulick frequently discusses case studies in an effort to help his students avoid common pit-falls.

Providing system design and imaging training since 1983, Mr. Aulick has performed for numerous and diverse commercial businesses and governmental agencies including: The US Navy, Army Research Office, Hasbro Toy Company, Granger Construction, Yankee Atomic Electric, Co. Virginia Natural Gas, Ricoh, Toshiba, and Hewlett Packard, to name just a few.

In 2001, the Computer Trade Industry Association (CompTIA) rendered Mr. Aulick’s services as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to rewrite the CDIA+ exam. Later in 2002, CompTIA sought Mr. Aulick’s expertise, yet again, to serve as the Team Leader, along with eight other SMEs to evaluate the proposed CDIA+ exam. Mr. Aulick personally examined, scrutinized and in some cases, rewrote many of the test questions in an effort to produce the optimal testing tool. Mr. Aulick has also been selected by CompTIA to serve on the CDIA+ Advisory Committee.

Mr. Aulick is recognized worldwide as an industry expert. He enjoys speaking and presenting seminars for clients and associations on a regular basis. Mr. Aulick maintains his knowledge through real-world, hands-on experience, a carefully-planned regimen of reading materials, educational seminars, trade-shows, manufacturers’ training, audiotapes and industry involvement. Mr. Aulick has trained countless students in preparation for the CompTIA CDIA+ Certification exam with an impressive pass rate.
